KBS penipu, konsert K-pop bernilai RM1.6 juta bukan tajaan
– 2 Oktober, 2013.

PETALING JAYA  (Oct 1): Ultra high temperature (UHT) milk lived up to its "ultra high" label with the Finance Ministry paying an additional RM17.4 million to supply the milk to primary school students.
The Auditor-General’s Report 2012 noted that the ministry had approved procurement, worth RM188.33 million for the 1Malaysia Milk Programme (PS1M) in early 2011.
However, the actual value of the contract was RM170.93 million after the eligibility of the milk recipients was re-evaluated.

"Audit findings revealed that generally, the management of PS1M was not satisfactory based on the performance from January 2011 until July  2012 where supply was only 21.9% but expenditure already reached 39.7%," the report stated.

Puterajaya's satellite programme may cost up to RM1 B

Auditor-General’s Report in 2011 that revealed that defects with the RazakSat-1 satellite to bolster his suspicions over the successor programme.

“The main problem is since 2011, the Auditor-General has given warning on the failure of RazakSat-1. We do not see government being serious to ensure that Razak-Sat 2 will not fail in the same way,” he said.
According to the National Audit Department, RazakSat-1 became defective in 2010 or one year into its three-year lifespan. This caused it to take mapping images that were inaccurate by as much as 37km and rendering the 1,328 satellite photographs taken to be useless for their intended purposes.

Clocks, scanners and “miscellaneous items” cost RTM RM9 million, up to 7,200 times over budget

The Broadcasting Department blew its budget spending RM120,210 on clocks and scanners alone, thus overpaying for these items by thousands of times beyond its actual cost.
Despite budgeting RM100 per unit for a clock and RM200 per unit for an A4-sized document scanner, the Auditor-General found that the Broadcasting Department spent RM3,810 per unit for “branded” wall clocks and RM14,670 per unit for the scanners.
In the 2012 AG Report, it found the department bought 20 branded wall clocks and three scanners for national broadcaster RTM’s offices in three states.
While the report did note that the total bill charged by the contractor at RM9.29 million was lower than the department's estimate of RM9.46 million, the AG expressed concern that costs for certain items were pricey, which is between 15.7% and 7,235% higher than the department's estimated cost for each unit.
